Music for roaches
'Music for roaches' is about what might help us survive as a race. If you have lived in the South-West of the US, as I do, you realize that a profound change isn't in the future - it is now. I don't quite understand why the official temperatures for places like Phoenix and Las Vegas are just over 100F, when the reality is over 120F, but there must be some reason. Not scaring people, I suppose.
So what are values worth fighting for? What use are we? What do we do?
This album is about this, and the most martial track may be the most attractive (dammit!).

01 Passion
Passion is a big one for me. The passion to achieve something, regardless of who cares. The passion about someone, regardless of whether they care. I think passion is what makes human beings something else.
02 Metal
Not sure where 'Metal' came from except that it is hard and it is violent - and a lot of things are. It is something we have to deal with. It is something we have to avoid. It is something that will inevitably be used.
03 March
... which brings in 'March,' an invasion. You can say it is the Ukraine, but it is anywhere. Wherever countries fight over territory. Wherever we become pawns of another stupid game.
04 Rapture
I'm afraid this one was cynical. I could never remember the word for the concept of rapture, so I decided to call a song 'Rapture' so that I can remember it.
05 Nxwt
The latest trend with a catchy trademark.
06 Lull
A moment's pause.
07 Romance
Let's face it, the odds aren't great. If you believe in the Bell Curve, as I do (having been a statistician in one point of my life), the odds of having a blissful relationship with another human being are about 14% - not what you would choose for a cancer cure. It happens - it has happened to me - but you have to be very, very lucky.
08 Thank God
Not a popular concept nowadays, but I would thoroughly recommend it. God is a fact - come to terms with that.
09 Love
Yes, love really is the answer, however hard it is to find.
10. and ...
And, yes, and ...
